Kris W. Hendricks,D.D.S.
Pediatric Dentist
"Early in my specialty career, I realized that the traditional approach to dentistry and orthodontics in children was focused on fixing existing problems, not preventing them. All too often, symptoms of deeper problems are seen as the root problem and traditional solutions aim to correct symptoms buy almost always neglect the undying condition. My professional mission is to revolutionize this outdated approach to dental medicine."
Dr. Kris was one of the first pediatric dentists to adopt 3D cone beam technology for pediatric patients, allowing a heretofore impossible understanding of the orofacial complex in
the dental setting. He has trained in well know airway and growth improvement techniques such as Biobloc under Dr. Bill Hang. Additionally, he studied temporal mandibular joint disorders at UCLA School of Dentistry's Orofacial Pain and TMD continuum.
Dr. Kris W. Hendricks and his family moved to Santa Fe so he could join Dentistry for Kids. In July 2010, he purchased the office from Dr. Evans, allowing Dr. Evans to retire. Dr. Hendricks studied liberal arts and music at Brigham Young University before moving to Kansas City to begin his dental studies at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He was a four-year scholarship recipient and graduated with honors in pediatric and restorative dentistry.

Dr. Kris' revolutionary approach to dentistry employs a team of therapists to support his patients in achieving their best outcomes. The team includes speech and language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists including therapists with additional training in feeding and myofunctional therapy.

Dr. Hendricks finds the relationships he develops with his patients and their families to be the best part of his work. He enjoys joking and telling children stories while he provides treatment to them. He wants his patients to enjoy their visits and develop a healthy relationship with dentistry.

As a parent of three kids, he understands the unpredictability of life with children. He tries to make himself available for his patients whenever problems arise. He believes strongly in a preventative approach to dentistry combined with the most up-to-date science and technology.

Dr. Hendricks grew up in Littleton, Colorado and is married to Ginna Hendricks. Together they have two sons, Max and Sandy; a daughter, Lucy; and a Australian Mountain Doodle, Cleo and a Bernadoodle, Fred.
